SBD member Caroline McDavid-Seidner, Senior and 5 year grad student giving the $542.50 check to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center director, Marilyn Warren and Arlene J. Nicholas, Ph.D. for their food pantry funds. Dr. Arlene Nicholas is the chapter advisor of SBD at Salve Regina.

SBD coordinated efforts to gather signatures of students on meal plans to donate a meal to feed a friend.  On the designated night, they did not use their meal plan card and Sodexho food services donated 3.50 for each one. Combines with some donated dollars, the money was in time to help many needy in the Newport area with Thanksgiving meals. Some local restaurants donated gift certificates as raffled awards to donors to support our efforts.
