Since Sigma Beta Delta’s inception 20 years ago, our society has recognized over 100,000 students, faculty, and professionals for their accomplishments. Today, faculty members from over 250 institutions across 45 states and internationally actively use Sigma Beta Delta as a vehicle to bestow honor to their students.
Sigma Beta Delta will provide an opportunity for faculty to confer upon their students recognition for their outstanding academic achievements in the study of business, management, or administration. The opportunity to recognize outstanding students through Sigma Beta Delta is done at minimal cost or effort to the institution. There is a $250 charter fee for the establishment of a Sigma Beta Delta chapter which covers the cost of a framed charter certificate and chapter banner. Student, faculty and honorary members pay a one-time lifetime fee for membership.
Three reasons to have a Sigma Beta Delta chapter;
- Having a program specific honor society gives your students the ability to strive for membership and can strengthen your program.
- Incoming society members are eligible for Scholarship Awards of either $1000 or $1500.
- Incoming members can have a better advantage of starting off their careers by becoming part of our member sharing and mentoring network.
Lastly, there are really only five tasks we require of a faculty advisor to operate a chapter
- Find eligible students through the academic office.
- Invite eligible students.
- Plan and hold an induction ceremony.
- Send a Scholarship Award applicant.
- Complete a yearly chapter certification report.
