Sigma Beta Delta was honored to have Dr. Steve Ballard speak at the Inaugural Leadership Academy on the topic of “Life-Long Leadership.” Chancellor of East Carolina University, Dr. Ballard is a champion for leadership. While leading the fastest-growing university in North Carolina, Ballard has committed to providing every student with excellent training in the classroom, practical experiences in the community and region, and the opportunity to develop leadership skills. Sigma Beta Delta has named a new annual fellowship in Dr. Ballard’s honor: The Steve Ballard Fellowship. This scholarship of $1,500 will be awarded for the first time in Aug. 2011.
